    Description of the Grease Trap

    The Grease Traps are made of the heat-resistant polypropylene (up to 70 ° C) with a thickness of 8 mm.

    The lid is fastened with metal latches and the tightness is secured by a rubber seal.

    The grease trap is designed for cleaning the household sink waste, it cleans excess of vegetable, animal, synthetic oils and fats. It is installed in public catering facilities and other places to prevent the build-up of grease in the pipeline.

    The working principle of the grease trap is to store excess fat in the fat trough. Incoming fouled water, containing fats and other oils, will cool down slightly against the wall system, and then flush to the surface where it solidifies, and thus remains as a fat skull. The top of the separator does not allow penetration of the fat into the second compartment of the separator, the lower partition prevents the precipitate from leaving the first chamber.

    Transporting and installation of grease traps

    The handling and transportation of grease traps must be done with caution, as polypropylene is a brittle material. Incorrect handling of this product can lead to cracks and thus loss of sealing.

    When installing a grease trap, it is most important to choose the right location for easy access to the grease trap to ensure easy maintenance. The trap can be placed under or next to the sink, so then it can be possible to open the lid without any problems.

    Install the lid of a grease trap on the firm, even surface. Connect the drain from the sump to the inlet. Connect the outlet of the grease trap to the drainage site.

    Use a sewer pipe with connections or flexible piping for connection.

    Exploitation and maintenance of the grease trap

    The maintenance periodicity is determined experimentally and depends on the degree of contamination of wastewater entering the grease separator.

    To clean the grease separator, loosen the latches, remove the lid, and remove the grease/oil fat emulsion from the surface of the water. Use a blade or a mesh for this purpose. At least once a month (or as needed) empty the grease separator to remove the sediment from the bottom. Wipe the rubber seal on the lid with a wet tissue, if the rubber seal is deformed – replace it.

    After cleaning, close the separator cover and fix the latches.

    Warranty period

    The lifetime of the grease trap is 48 months from the date of sale.

    During this period, the manufacturer guarantees the leakproofness and functionality of the grease separator, subject to compliance with the transport and operating rules.
