Kolomaki Grey: Revolution in Energy Savings and Environmental Protection
Kolomaki Grey is an entirely new way to protect our environment and save money. This innovative heat recovery system harnesses the heat from greywater and uses it to heat clean water.
When we realize that water from our showers, dishwashers, and washing machines contains valuable heat that is immediately lost down the drain after use, we begin to understand how we can save both temperature and money. This heat can be effectively captured and reused with Kolomaki Grey, allowing us to use water much more efficiently and reduce the costs of heating it.
Why Should You Get Kolomaki Grey?
Energy and Money Savings: Kolomaki Grey helps reduce your energy costs by utilizing heat that would otherwise be lost into the sewer system. This can lead to lower energy bills and positively impact your budget.
Environmental Protection: Environmental protection is critical in today's world. Kolomaki Grey reduces energy and heat consumption, reducing your home's ecological footprint. By using resources more efficiently, we contribute to a more sustainable future.
Easy Installation: Installing Kolomaki Grey is straightforward and can be done either indoors or outdoors. Thanks to its compact size, it can fit almost anywhere.

How Does Kolomaki Grey Work?
To better understand how it functions, please refer to this diagram.
Step 1: Water Inlet:
Warm greywater (e.g., from the shower) enters the system through the inlet pipe (1) and collects inside the heat exchanger.
Step 2: Inside the Heat Exchanger:
Inside the heat exchanger, there is a coil (11) secured to a coil holder (16). Water from the main water supply enters the coil (11) and passes through it, preheating along the way. Partially preheated water then flows into the household water supply.
Step 3: Greywater Outlet:
Greywater, from which heat has already been removed, exits the heat exchanger through the outlet pipe (2).
Step 4: Overflow:
Since warm water collects at the top and cooler water at the bottom, water exits through the overflow (3). This helps remove cold water from the bottom of the tank.
Step 5: Cleaning System:
To prevent the coil (11) from getting dirty and ensure water cleanliness, a cleaning system is in place, consisting of:
- Disk aerator (14)
- Biofilm carriers (10)
- Hair traps (12)
- Compressor (8)
How the Cleaning System Works:
When the compressor (8) is operational, it actively saturates the water with oxygen and mixes it. This has two main effects:
- It promotes the growth of biofilm on the biofilm carriers (10), which helps break down organic substances.
- The active movement of biofilm carriers (10) causes them to impact the coil's walls, mechanically cleaning coil (11) from dirt. Hair that enters the water is caught and held by the hair trap (12).
Maintenance:
- The coil (11) is easily accessible in case it needs servicing.
- The heat exchanger's housing consists of two containers nested within each other, with insulation material (5) between them.
