We are increasingly encountering a situation where the water management authority does not permit us to connect to the sewage system due to full or overloaded capacities. In such cases, we have two solutions for dealing with wastewater: to use a sewage pit or a septic tank.
A septic tank is an ideal solution, with three chambers inside, where sludge remains only in the largest main chamber. From there, water flows into other chambers for further purification. Microbes and other methods of treatment, such as oxygenation within the main chamber, ensure that sludge decreases and doesn't accumulate as it would in a sewage pit. As a result, the sludge from a septic tank doesn't need to be emptied as frequently.
The water that exits the septic tank undergoes primary treatment, making it ideal to install an underground sand filter after the septic tank, which further cleans the water to a secondary level.
Water treated in this way can be infiltrated on your own property, stored in a tank for technical uses like irrigation, car washing, etc. It can also be connected to a rainwater drainage system, stream, pond, etc.
