Vegetation bags AS-GREEN SLOPE

AS-GREEN SLOPE is a system solution for slope reinforcement using vegetative bags during the installation of the Quick and Kellari cellar.

Vegetative bags are made of special breathable fabric that allows root growth without compromising their structural properties. The greenery serves not only an aesthetic function but also improves the local microclimate. It minimizes the need for drainage systems when stabilizing larger slopes and provides water to the planted vegetation roots, allowing you to have an aesthetic hill or beautiful green slope around your cellar or shelter.

Utilization of AS-GREEN SLOPE vegetative bags:

The system is suitable for DIY home projects in garden landscaping or slope stabilization, as well as large-scale commercial applications such as slope reinforcement, stream revitalization, foundation plate creation, or ecological solutions.Vegetative walls offer a wide range of architectural possibilities. Due to their flexible structure and two available sizes, complex slope shapes are not a problem. Depending on the size and slope, slope stability can be ensured by using geotextile anchored in the existing slope.

TECHNICAL DATA:

The AS-GREEN SLOPE system consists of:

• Vegetative bags including a closing strap.
• Fixing pegs (2 pieces per bag).
• Bag fillings - various solutions depending on the application, usually obtained locally.
• Vegetative components - grass seeds, sedums, etc. - optional or applied separately.

Two bag sizes:

1. Domestic application:

• Full bag dimensions: 550 x 350 x 150 mm, 35-60 kg (depending on filling).
• Full bag volume: 0.029 m^3 ≈ 29 liters.
• Empty bag dimensions: 750 x 350 mm, 100 g.
• 13 bags per square meter.
• Average construction speed with 4 people: 45 m^2/day.

2. Commercial application:

• Full bag dimensions: 750 x 350 x 150 mm, 40-90 kg (depending on filling).
• Full bag volume: 0.039 m^3 ≈ 39 liters.
• Empty bag dimensions: 1050 x 350 mm, 150 g.
• 7 bags per square meter.

LIFESPAN AND MAINTENANCE:

AS-GREEN SLOPE vegetative bags, like the other components, have UV stabilization, and the guaranteed lifespan is at least 50 years*. Maintenance of vegetative walls usually involves mowing or trimming the vegetation while ensuring that the bags are not mechanically damaged, especially by brush cutters. In case of complete bag rupture, it can be removed and replaced with a new undamaged piece.

* In natural soils with a pH value of 4 <= pH <= 9 and soil temperatures <= 25°C (B.4.2.2, EN ISO 13438). When covered within 14 days after installation according to EN 12224.

CARBON FOOTPRINT:

Addressing climate change and reducing carbon footprint are increasingly important parameters for projects and construction solutions. The properties of the AS-GREEN SLOPE system, depending on the chosen vegetation type, allow achieving a negative carbon footprint, primarily due to:

• Minimal production requirements.
• Low transportation weight.
• CO2 capture by planted vegetation.
• Partial retention of rainwater and subsequent heat absorption from the

surroundings.
